There is only 1 disabled bay actually for Travelodge and as a disabled customer i found parking very frustrating due to lack of disabled bays, i even got blocked in by another car next to me,the underground carpark is very small and not enough spaces. My room had a squeaky floor so everytime I moved around it would creak very annoying and the noise drove my dog mad as he hated the noise it made. I asked to swap rooms but got told how I couldn't move as I was assigned to that room and how all the other rooms were booked, but the thing was people were checking out daily so I could of been moved to 1 of them rooms before the new guests arrived. I also think you shouldn't have to pay for WiFi after only 30 mins free WiFi, you pay enough for the rooms where WiFi should just be included for free not just 30 mins free. I Was pleased that they allowe dogs to stay so 5 out of 5 for that.

I would like to take the time to thank a lovely young man that helped us called Fouad. He went out of his way to help me get a room when my card wasn’t working he was so polite and helpful. Thank you :)

I strongly resent having to pay for wifi. Rooms overlooking the main road need soundproof glazing.

Typical Travelodge with friendly receptionist and clean rooms. Not luxury, but everything you need, and right nextdoor to Waitrose.

Travelodge Sidcup fails to provide everything to at makes a hotel a hotel. I'd like to start with the fact that the only reason that keeps them in business is the location.
Upon arrival the door wasn't working and had to ring the staff for minutes to gain access to the building. My first initial thought was this is a college or student accommodation or something as there's literally no chairs nor a lounge to wait and was greeted by a wending machine. a WENDING MACHINE🤣 in the corner.
A lovely receptionist took care of me and their policy is concerning:
- They don't ask for identification. None whatsoever just tell your reservation number which anyone can obtain just by for example glancing at the email I would have opened on public transportation or anywhere in public. I have never stayed in a hotel nor worked in one (I am a retired hotel manager) that did not ask for ID.
- There are serious risks and concerns regarding the accessibility for disabled people. My room was on the second floor and they failed to provide help to escape the building. I have a spine condition and can't stand for long periods and there was literally not even a chair at the reception to sit down. The only reason I could stay was the fact that I was attending a wedding next day and my friends would have helped me take the stairs in an event of emergency but this is a horrible business practice and this place will be reported to the relevant authorities for this.
- The building and the rooms are straight out of a murder show; out dated decoration and furniture from the 70s. Dirt everywhere. My toilet paper had a brown stain I assume it wasn't chocolate so haven't touched it and used the tissues I brought with myself. Bathroom floor was gooey thank God I took a shower before I've left my home. The carped is smelly and full of food and God knows what stains. Absolutely disgusting.
- I was informed by the manager that the "hotel" just lost a star but regardless the star rating the possibility to get slippers, bathrobes etc should be provided even if it's paid for. This is 2024 not the stone ages. Also you have to pay for the internet. In 2024. Mind blowing how low standards this place had.
- I had to literally beg for the iron and the ironing board and the iron hadn't been cleaned for probably months. It was burnt and whenever I sprinkled the water - scale sprinkled out.
- Breakfast box contains mixture of dietary friendly and not friendly items like flapjack and cornflakes and plain au chocolates which again waste of money if you are on a special diet therefor overcharged. Thankfully there is a shop and a bunch of restaurants nearby.
This place either needs to shut down and sold to rebuild it or Travelodge must spend a whole lot of money to make a real hotel out of it.
The only pros of this place are the location and a friendly staff. But sadly the receptionist girl turned her head when I was leaving to literally act like I don't exist so probably the staff is not that friendly 🐒

I arrived early this afternoon and I was too early for check in but Prakash who was on the reception was very helpful. Then this evening went to sign in and Anthony told me where to go for my room, if I needed anything to just call the number. Room is as good as you pay for which for London is very good! Very quiet of course if you have the window you will hear busses drive by. There is always someone on desk so I feel secure.

They needed to do more. There was no wardrobe in the room. Breakfast, which was thought to be a buffet, was packed as breakfast was on the go with no varieties. This was not stated when booking.

The hotel is perfectly located and the staff are good. Don’t select a room at the rear of the hotel as you will be woken by Waitrose deliveries and other folk turning up at 5:00 am and leaving their engines idling with loud music playing. I poured a bottle of water on the windscreen of one annoying person at 5:00 am one morning. It worked. The car park is a joke. It’s not controlled in any way and pot luck. Random people in Sidcup use it as a free stay so don’t assume you will get parking. I had to park in Morrisons nearby at an overnight cost of £10:00.This is the worst aspect of this Travelodge. They claim there is parking but I’ve never been able to find a bay and I’ve stayed here for weeks on end over the last seven years. I also never seem able to qualify for discounts. Last time I came I was woken up by a mouse scoffing the remains of my tea in room 138. So shut your windows. Come on TravelSludge you need to do better, it’s not your staff it’s your management that is letting this great team down ! Richard Singleton room 138, 25th to 28th of June 2024.lets see if they respond ?

No one at reception when we arrived (3pm) or at 8.30 the following morning. Room was very basic but comfortable and quiet. Parking is very limited but we did find a spot in the adjacent Waitrose car park. There is a myriad of takeaways and a couple of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.

We arrived late in the evening and had cleanliness issues with our room which were dealt with promptly and professionally by receptionist Kayleigh who is an asset to travellodge. She reported the issue to her supervisor and customer services who were also very prompt and helpful. The key cards don't always work. The corridors in the hotel smell like foot, breath, bum and all sorts. Also the hotel inside feels very unsafe and full of very unsavoury people who loiter outside both the front and back of the hotel. It needs cameras in all corridors and stairwells to increase safety and allow the reception to be fully manned at all times and would see things the receptionist can't. The breakfast box is like a rations box from the 1940s so don't waste your money there is a cafe down the road. Parking is a very big issue with only 2 spaces available to guests. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me to. Big improvements need to be made.

All of the staff here are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Clean, tidy rooms, with all essential facilities. Perfect for a getaway where you just need somewhere to sleep, shower and have a brew after a day out in London.

Nothing really unexpected during my stay - my expectations were low as I knew it had old fashioned Travelodge rooms in need of modernising, but the rooms are larger than average and the location and value was good. Being literally located next to a Little Waitrose merits bonus points as well.
I was very warmly welcomed by the lady on reception, which was a bit unexpected (last time I stayed it took some time to check in, as their front of house person was out back sorting something internal out).
Room was very basic as you might expect with no bedside usb points. However, otherwise, was fairly comfortable.
Bathroom was cramped as typical with Travelodge, but hot water and pressure was good. No flooding.
One thing to mention is that the sound from corridors was noisier than on average whilst in the room. There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of soundproofing, but aside from hearing people come and go, and one room above me putting their bed rigorously through its paces for admittedly a few very brief minutes in the evening and again in the morning, I can’t say it affected my experience too much.

Stayed here overnight in Feb 23. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The corridor outside the room however had an unpleasant overpowering odour. The location of the room was not good as we were woken in the early hours by delivery or bin vans.
